I have to say that I really loved it

Thank you so much for the four day cleanse. I have to say that I really loved it- and wished it went on for longer. I have stuck to fruit and vegetables for the last few days and feel pretty good. I am not going to have cheese, dairy or meat for a little while. I have had some canned tuna tonight with the vegies.

So, the four day cleanse:

To begin with I was really hungry and had the first 3 juices by midday and tried to have a break in the afternoon as I knew I would be hungry at night. I got through the first day without too much of a headache- there was a dull ache but it wasn’t too bad and I was  surprised to also have a runny nose for 5 minutes on the first day. The first day was definitely the hardest- especially as I cook for my 18 month old during the day, do the shopping etc. I went to bed quite early (no time to rest/ take it easy during the day with a 5  and 18 month old)- felt a little grumpy and irritable but it wasn’t too bad. 

Day 2 was better, still hungry at various times and became aware of how much I pick during the day. I drank lots of water and herbal tea for the four days- really filled me up and urine was clear by day two. 

Day 3 I was really getting into it- beginning to think about the food I normally put into my mouth and how much I can do without it. I was feeling pretty please about myself for being so strict and sticking to the juice diet. 

By Day 4 I have to say that I had adjusted to having the 6 juices and had the last 3 from 5pm onwards. Day 5 ..I was missing the juices!

So all in all I was surprised that I didn’t get more side affects, but I suppose there are so many goodies in the juices that it is not as if I was starving my body. I didn’t have time to have a bath but had one 2 days after the detox with the white stuff. The emails sent through daily were really great and help you to stay on track and remind you how good it is for you.

We will definitely do it again

I would like you to know that both me and my husband take my hat of to your business…so professionally done and also nice juices..(The only one that I really didn’t like at all was the squash.

 

We will definitely do it again in september

Sorry for the delay in sending this email to you but after finishing my detox I was straight into RAFW and only now just catching my breath.

 

I am emailing to say how wonderful the detox was and how great I felt after it.  It really is so good.

 

So good in fact that I want to do it again – and a girlfriend of mine wants to join me.

 

It was the perfect way to cleanse my body; remove cravings for harmful foods loaded with preservatives, and kick start a healthy eating lifestyle!

I’ve had so many people think that I am crazy for doing a ‘liquid’ detox, however, I feel GREAT!

 

I’ve lost about 1-1.5kg (probably excess body water) and am going to keep up the healthy eating.

 

It was the perfect way to cleanse my body; remove cravings for harmful foods loaded with preservatives, and kick start a healthy eating lifestyle!

 

At all times were you friendly, professional & extremely accommodating. You removed all barriers which may have prevented me from doing this detox.

 

 

Here’s a run down of my experience J

 

Day 1

Ø  Made the mistake of running 14km in the morning. Although a usual activity, with out the solid food to back up such outburst of energy I felt super sick for the rest of the day- headaches, chills, nausea.

Ø  Headache: I took a pain killers- oops

Ø  Disturbed night’s sleep- felt relived to arrive to work the next day and read Catherine’s email “Did you sleep okay last night”?

Ø  Catherine- your email support and the cards on the eskies were awesome- kept me motivated. It also gave me an idea of the ‘symptoms’ I’d experience.

Ø  Pretty much all of the symptoms explained happened to me- but not necessary in the same order.

Ø  I think my symptoms were pretty minor in comparison to what others may experience. I’ve always been conscious of my calorie intake and exercised regularly. Nevertheless this detox was the perfect cleansing mechanism for me.

 

 

Day 2

Ø  Slept better, although very light

Ø  Increased urination- Flushed loads excess body fluid

Ø  Lethargic & very unmotivated

Ø  Peptias – thank goodness they were included! I definitely missed chewing on Day 2!

Ø  Exercise: Spin class. I’ve always been an exerciser but was sure to take it easy (I learnt my lesson from yesterday)

 

 

Day 3

Ø  Jumped out of bed energised for the day ahead

Ø  Exercise: Light weights (Again easy session. Just enough to get the blood flowing)

Ø  Juices were beginning to taste more and more delicious as my taste buds improved

Ø  Pretty hungry today.

Ø  Overcame temptation to eat by having 6 walnuts + 6 cashews with my dinner soup (Nuts were all natural. No salt. No oils)

 

 

Day 4

Ø  Great sleep

Ø  Bit of a runny nose

Ø  Hunger somewhat suppressed.

Ø  Didn’t have the desire to complete all of my Beet Soup & felt extremely full after my Almond Milk Drink.

Ø  Exercise: Spin class. I feel great.

Ø  I was pretty tired by the evening.

 

 

Day 5

Ø  Sound sleep!

Ø  Still bit of a runny nose

Ø  Energised & happy

Ø  Mental clarity

Ø  Looking forward to kick starting a healthy eating regime tomorrow…. I’m going to follow Catherine’s advice and ease back into it.

Ø  Day 6: only fruits and vegies for me!

 

 

Best advice:

Ø  Drink 2L water daily

Ø  Go to bed early

Ø  Avoid watching Ten’s Master Chef J

Ø  Exercise = ok if easy and a regular activity prior to the detox

Ø  Kept my bowl happy with Quick Fibre daily (contains psyllium husk).Product bought from www.totallynatural.com.au & any good health shop/ pharmacy.

Ø  Just stick with it…. It’s well worth it!

I would definitely do the cleanse again!

THIS is THE answer to eternal youth, without question!

Well, nearly there now - two bottles to go and that’s a wrap for the 5 day cleanse!

 

It has been amazing - MUCH better than I thought it would be as I have done many different types of cleanses before and overall eat and drink in the healthy top percentile anyway!

 

BUT - it still had amazing results for me - so much so that I would like to do a 3 day cleanse starting on Monday June 8 and going to Wed 10th, I know it is soon but we are going away on the 15th and I would really love to feel this good as I step onto the plane! My husband may even join me!

 

As far as telling you what the ingredients were in this afternoon’s juice, sorry, missed the whole plot! Drank it before I read the email, enjoyed it though!

 

The bad and the good of it.

 

Monday is easy really, but definately Tuesday is hard! Everything else you mention, getting over the hunger, feeling revitalised , smelling things better etc etc are all true and really do happen.

 

Two things I am amazed amount.

 

1. How can you have such regular and LARGE bowel actions when all you do is drink 6 bottles of juice - amazing?

 

2. And OH WOW! I felt and now feel - FABULOUS!! THIS is THE answer to eternal youth, without question! I am over 50 and feel better than I did in my 20’s! Now that’s a result worth having! I will be doing this cleanse on a regular basis for the rest of my life and have already booked my next one!

 

And a bonus third point - for over two years I have dieted and exercised to get my wieght below a certain point. I am not overweight and dont really need to loose weight but I feel better below a certain weight and just could NOT get there no matter what I tried, gym, pilates, even a nutritionist!

 

Guess what! At the beginning of this cleanse I was above it and at the end I am below it!! I am talking about less than 2 kilo’s here so by no means saying that in 5 days this is a way to loose wieght, but no matter what I did I could not get below that magic number - and now I have and it feels fabulous! Thank you!

 

Confession though - I took you seriously about being kind to myself. I scrubed with the loofah each day, went to bed early every night, had a detox seaweed treatment and added a bath to my pre-dinner routine!

 

So guys, get used to delivering to our house - you’ll be doing it alot!

Skin is looking much healthier.

Just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed the 5 day detox and my skin is looking much healthier. I definitely want to do it again soon and have recommended it to some friends.

You can live without a Tim Tam….

I sent some feedback, but meant to say the juice variations were GREAT - you wouldnt believe how excited I would get in the mornings when I realised there was smthg new in each juice.

 

And my skin has cleared up wonderfully. I am feeling like my old self only calmer and saner and less prone to eating everything in the house. I keep reminding myself “you survived on 3 juices a day (I couldnt stomach any more some days) you can live without a Tim Tam” . . .

 

Everything is incredibly well organised too, so thank you for that.

 

And if you do ever do a Friday-Tuesday cleanse let me know as I would be keen to try that again . . . just lets let me beautiful skin breathe for a while before I give that a whirl.

 

I feel really…well…..clean on the inside!

Well yes, Friday at last!!!  It has been a very interesting week. 

 

The first couple of days were fine, I had a mild headache and was getting a bit tired by the end of the second day, but other than that, none of the nausea, mood swings etc I was expecting.  So here I was thinking I was doing great!!!  And the extra bit in the juices on the second day were fantastic.  It made the not so yummy juices much better! 

 

Wednesday was a little bit worse, I was quite tired that day, especially at the end of the day, my focus was waning.  I put that down to the fact that I was on the second day of a very heavy course I am doing through work.  Probably not the best thing to do on a detox week, but this course was going for another four weeks, a couple of days a week.  I just couldn’t wait any longer to do the cleanse!

 

Then came Thursday, my first day back at the office since Monday.  Man was I restless and unfocussed, and crabby too.  I actually found this day the worst!  After reading my little ’buddy’ for the day, I was thinking I was a dud, I was meant to be coming out the other side.  But everyone is different, and I had been so lucky so far.  I sit near the kitchen at work, so food smells and noises are constantly around me.  Then I had to go to a ‘Brown Bag’ session at lunch time, and I swear I could smell everyone’s lunch - individually!  Ho hum.  Back to my juice.  The afternoon was torture, it dragged and dragged.  It was the fist day I couldn’t drink all of my juices.

 

So now it’s Friday morning.  After yesterday I was wondering what to expect.  I read my ‘buddy’ telling me I can only eat veggies and fruit on my much anticipated ‘chewing’ Saturday.  For a moment I am disappointed, but then, no.  I really don’t mind at all.  Veggies are actually what I’m craving, and I’ve always loved my veggies.  I knew I would have to ease back into food, but I was hoping to sneak in a little bit of chicken and some bbq’d veggies for a dinner with friends!  But steamed veggies are more than fine. 

 

I feel really good, my body has bounce and energy, and I don’t feel bloated as I had been.  I feel really…well…..clean on the inside!  My brain seems to be having a hard time accepting it all just yet.  But that is changing too.  As I go through the morning the acceptance is sinking in!  Little changes like that clean feeling etc are becoming more and more of a realisation as the day goes on.  And as of this morning I have lost 2 kg’s, what a bonus!

 

So it’s been great, well, you know, maybe not all of the time, but in hindsight!  It’s a weird experience, because you aren’t hungry at all, ever!!  The juices are plenty to keep you going.  It’s the struggle with not chewing, it is such a normal thing to do, a huge habit, and everyone else is doing it around you!

 

The 5 days is hard going, but so worth it in the end, and just what I needed.  And I was lucky to have supportive (in their own way!!) people around me, keeping me in check and willing to listen to my gripes about just wanting to CHEW something!

I was feeling a bit bloated and sluggish and didn’t know what to do about it…

As an endurance athlete, I keep pretty healthy. Each week I run up to 160kms, do three weight sessions at the gym , swim, and do yoga. I consume neither alcohol nor caffeine. And I keep an organic, preservative-free kitchen for myself and my family. Nevertheless, I was feeling a bit bloated and sluggish and didn’t know what to do about it. I tried Eat Fit Food’s detox program, but they just sent too much food and I wound up gaining weight! I had heard about the Schkinny nutritional cleanse from two friends who did it, and I decided to give it a try.

 

The first day was easy. Anyone can go a day without eating, and I hardly even noticed until bedtime. The second day was much harder. I was very hungry and by the middle of the day, when I was preparing dinner for the family, I was longing to nibble on the food I was cooking. But I held out, and by the next morning I was feeling terrific. I had one of my best training sessions ever that morning. I ran like the wind because I felt so fresh and clean. Day four was even easier; the hunger just disappeared and I thought, “I should go on like this for ten days!” By the end of day five, my skin was glowing (according to another mum who saw me at school) and I felt amazing. I lost three kilos and felt cleansed. I can’t wait to do it again in June before I fly to the States. My husband, who just completed the South Head Rough Water 10km swim this morning, wants to know if there is a Man’s version.

 

Well, I’m off to South Africa to run my ultra-marathon. Thank you for making my week leading up to the race so healthful and pleasant. I think you have a terrific program, and I’ve recommended it to several people already.

I choose to do the cleanse because I have been getting sick quite often..

I choose to do the cleanse because I have been getting sick quite often and had to take a lot of antibiotics. I am hoping after this cleanse I will be much healthier & less susceptible to the flu or other illnesses.

The 3 days went quite quickly. I wasn’t sure how I would handle the hunger pangs, surprisingly I didn’t get much at all.
On the first day, I did get headaches towards the afternoon and felt woozy in the evening. I also vomited after drinking the almond milk.
On the second day I was feeling much better although the headaches was still there but nothing too serious.
By the third day, all seemed quite normal & felt happy to be closer to the finishing line.

The cleanse actually made me feel very tired in the evening & had to get to sleep pretty early. This was a good thing for me as I’ve been having trouble sleeping. I slept quite well for the last 3 nights & hopefully for many nights after.

I would definitely cleanse again. The cleanse has made me feel lighter, more focused & definitely help motivate me to keep healthy.
