“Despite a love of exercise and a perpetually healthy diet, things weren’t peachy. Even a dedicated gluten & caffeine free diet, with tonnes of vegies, wholegrain foods couldn't produce a perfect cellulite free, unbloated, jumping out of bed disposition every day. So I started searching.... Deciding to trial another commercially available “detox” to see if this would be the answer, I was dismayed to discover that whilst it did eventually produce good results, its extreme deprivation, repetitiveness and lack of actual good healthy vitamins and minerals as well as general nutrition can’t be good for you. Whilst most of us don’t worship at the “body is a temple” altar, I thought there had to be another option available for everyday people.
I decided there had to be a better way. I am no preacher, people won’t change their lives overnight, but if we can find a happy medium between extreme non nutritional detoxing and continuing to enjoy the naughty things in life – then things could be great.
After working with innumerable nutritionists, naturopaths and health professionals, she devised a cleanse plan based on the stuff we SHOULD be eating heaps of every day. Mostly we don’t.... Every day diets are made up of processed foods, preservatives, bad fats, sugars and caffeine – and that could all be before lunch! And then there is alcohol. Your poor liver!
I thought most people don’t eat enough fruit and vegetables, and it can be hard to do if you aren’t prepared, and most people find it hard to get the balance right between healthy and moderation. If we can offer a solution, then people can help get the balance in their lives.
So the Schkinny Nutritional Cleanse was born. Fruit and vegies are great, they have so many amazing benefits, and science hasn’t even discovered all of them yet! Nuts and seeds are so full of natural proteins and healthy fats, that we should have them every day.”
